WeWork: The Future of Work
PROJECT: SoftBank World 2017
BRIEF: Sublime partnered with WeWork earlier this year, at TechCrunch’s New York event, Disrupt. Using 360° footage of the company’s worldwide workspaces and communities that use them, we projected this into our Shared Immersion Portal, that allows visitors to be virtually ‘transported’ into each environment.
Following the success of the New York event, WeWork commissioned Sublime to create a similar presence as they announced a major strategic partnership with SoftBank at the SoftBank World 2017 event in Tokyo.
At SoftBank World we wrapped our Reality Portal in a unique branded enclosure, giving delegates an enhanced immersive experience, removed from the physical confines of a busy exhibition floor.
The Portal provided WeWork’s audience, key stakeholders, and staff with a unique and powerful shared experience. We made use of the ground breaking Nokia OZO to produce incredible 8k 360º footage and surrounding 5.1 audio track. Partnered with our unique iPad control system and immersive Portal technology we were able to transport visitors to the heart of Wework’s Shanghai offices, over 1000 miles away.
The bespoke branded enclosure, and immersive experience, allowed WeWork to effectively stand-out and create the impact and excitement they required at an event full of blue-chip organisations from around the world.
Valued at $20bn, this thriving brand will now be launching a new joint venture in Japan, just one week after raising $760m in funding from investors.
